The Book of Enoch 64
How to read these pages: the text itself comes first, verse by verse, in the volume's own translation. Beneath each verse stands its Meaning — a rendering of what the passage's terms name in the inner life, drawn from the correspondences the text itself uses. The text is never altered; the meaning is offered, not imposed.
Charles translation (1917)
1And other forms I saw hidden in that place.
And other forms — outward shapes of inner states — I saw hidden in that place.
2I heard the voice of the angel saying: 'These are the angels who descended to the earth, and revealed what was hidden to the children of men and seduced the children of men into committing sin.'
I heard the voice of the angel — the divine idea — saying: 'These are the angels who descended to the outer life, the guarding faculties fallen from their watch, and revealed what was hidden to the children of men and seduced the children of men into committing sin — error, acting apart from the divine order.'
