The Book of Enoch 66
How to read these pages: the text itself comes first, verse by verse, in the volume's own translation. Beneath each verse stands its Meaning — a rendering of what the passage's terms name in the inner life, drawn from the correspondences the text itself uses. The text is never altered; the meaning is offered, not imposed.
Charles translation (1917)
1And after that he showed me the angels of punishment who are prepared to come and let loose all the powers of the waters which are beneath in the earth in order to bring judgement and destruction on all who [abide and] dwell on the earth.
And after that he showed me the angels of punishment who are prepared to come and let loose all the powers of the waters — the unformed thoughts — which are beneath in the outer life, in order to bring judgement — the divine order confronting the state all at once — and destruction on all who abide and dwell on the outer life.
2And the Lord of Spirits gave commandment to the angels who were going forth, that they should not cause the waters to rise but should hold them in check; for those angels were over the powers of the waters.
And the indwelling LORD of Spirits gave commandment to the angels who were going forth, that they should not cause the waters to rise but should hold them in check; for those angels — the divine ideas — were over the powers of the waters, the powers of the unformed thoughts.
3And I went away from the presence of Enoch.
And I went away from the presence of Enoch — the faculty that walks with God.
