The Book of Enoch 49
How to read these pages: the text itself comes first, verse by verse, in the volume's own translation. Beneath each verse stands its Meaning — a rendering of what the passage's terms name in the inner life, drawn from the correspondences the text itself uses. The text is never altered; the meaning is offered, not imposed.
Charles translation (1917)
1For wisdom is poured out like water, And glory faileth not before him for evermore.
For wisdom is poured out like water — truth flowing freely through consciousness — and glory, the manifested weight of the Presence, fails not before him for evermore.
2For he is mighty in all the secrets of righteousness, And unrighteousness shall disappear as a shadow, And have no continuance; Because the Elect One standeth before the Lord of Spirits, And his glory is for ever and ever, And his might unto all generations.
For he is mighty in all the secrets of righteousness — right relation to the divine order — and unrighteousness shall disappear as a shadow, and have no continuance, because the Elect One — the Anointed pattern enthroned — stands before the indwelling LORD of Spirits, and his glory is for ever and ever, and his might unto all generations, the order of states unfolding degree by degree.
3And in him dwells the spirit of wisdom, And the spirit which gives insight, And the spirit of understanding and of might, And the spirit of those who have fallen asleep in righteousness.
And in him dwells the spirit of wisdom — the Breath that gives wisdom — and the spirit which gives insight, and the spirit of understanding and of might, and the spirit of those who have fallen asleep in righteousness.
4And he shall judge the secret things, And none shall be able to utter a lying word before him; For he is the Elect One before the Lord of Spirits according to His good pleasure.
And he shall judge the secret things, and none shall be able to utter a lying word before him; for he is the Elect One — the Anointed pattern enthroned — before the indwelling LORD of Spirits according to His good pleasure.
