The Book of Enoch 50

How to read these pages: the text itself comes first, verse by verse, in the volume's own translation. Beneath each verse stands its Meaning — a rendering of what the passage's terms name in the inner life, drawn from the correspondences the text itself uses. The text is never altered; the meaning is offered, not imposed.

Charles translation (1917)

1And in those days a change shall take place for the holy and elect, And the light of days shall abide upon them, And glory and honour shall turn to the holy,

And in those days a change shall take place for the holy and chosen states, and the light of days — the understanding of the illuminated states — shall abide upon them, and glory and honour shall turn to the holy states,

2On the day of affliction on which evil shall have been treasured up against the sinners. And the righteous shall be victorious in the name of the Lord of Spirits: And He will cause the others to witness (this) That they may repent And forgo the works of their hands.

On the day of affliction on which evil shall have been treasured up against the error-bound states. And the right-ordered shall be victorious in the name of the indwelling LORD of Spirits, and He will cause the others to witness this, that they may repent — turn the mind and return to the order — and forgo the works of their hands.

3They shall have no honour through the name of the Lord of Spirits, Yet through His name shall they be saved, And the Lord of Spirits will have compassion on them, For His compassion is great.

They shall have no honour through the name of the indwelling LORD of Spirits, yet through His name shall they be saved, and the indwelling LORD of Spirits will have compassion on them, for His compassion is great.

4And He is righteous also in His judgement, And in the presence of His glory unrighteousness also shall not maintain itself: At His judgement the unrepentant shall perish before Him.

And He is righteous also in His judgment, and in the presence of His glory unrighteousness also shall not maintain itself; at His judgment — the divine order confronting a state all at once — the unrepentant shall perish before Him.

5And from henceforth I will have no mercy on them, saith the Lord of Spirits.

And from henceforth I will have no mercy on them, says the indwelling LORD of Spirits — no mercy left for the error that will not turn.
