The Book of Enoch 58
How to read these pages: the text itself comes first, verse by verse, in the volume's own translation. Beneath each verse stands its Meaning — a rendering of what the passage's terms name in the inner life, drawn from the correspondences the text itself uses. The text is never altered; the meaning is offered, not imposed.
Charles translation (1917)
1And I began to speak the third Parable concerning the righteous and elect.
And I began to speak the third Parable — an outer story carrying an inner truth — concerning the right-ordered and the elect.
2Blessed are ye, ye righteous and elect, For glorious shall be your lot.
Blessed are ye, ye righteous and elect — increased by the divine favour — for glorious shall be your lot, filled with the manifested Presence.
3And the righteous shall be in the light of the sun. And the elect in the light of eternal life: The days of their life shall be unending, And the days of the holy without number.
And the righteous shall be in the light of the sun — the greater light, Divine Love-Wisdom itself — and the elect in the light of eternal life: the days of their life shall be unending, and the days of the holy — states wholly of the divine order — without number.
4And they shall seek the light and find righteousness with the Lord of Spirits: There shall be peace to the righteous in the name of the Eternal Lord.
And they shall seek the light — understanding — and find righteousness, right relation to the divine order, with the indwelling LORD of Spirits: there shall be peace — rest within the order — to the righteous in the name of the Eternal LORD.
5And after this it shall be said to the holy in heaven That they should seek out the secrets of righteousness, the heritage of faith: For it has become bright as the sun upon earth, And the darkness is past.
And after this it shall be said to the holy in the inner realm, that they should seek out the secrets of righteousness, the heritage of faith: for it has become bright as the sun upon the outer life, and the darkness — ignorance — is past.
6And there shall be a light that never endeth, And to a limit (lit. 'number') of days they shall not come, For the darkness shall first have been destroyed, [And the light established before the Lord of Spirits] And the light of uprightness established for ever before the Lord of Spirits.
And there shall be a light that never endeth, and to a limit of days they shall not come, for the darkness shall first have been destroyed, [and the light established before the indwelling LORD of Spirits,] and the light of uprightness established for a lasting age before the indwelling LORD of Spirits.
