The Book of Enoch 59
How to read these pages: the text itself comes first, verse by verse, in the volume's own translation. Beneath each verse stands its Meaning — a rendering of what the passage's terms name in the inner life, drawn from the correspondences the text itself uses. The text is never altered; the meaning is offered, not imposed.
Charles translation (1917)
1[ In those days mine eyes saw the secrets of the lightnings, and of the lights, and the judgements they execute (lit. 'their judgement'): and they lighten for a blessing or a curse as the Lord of Spirits willeth.
[In those days my eyes saw the secrets of the lightnings — the sudden flashes of illumination — and of the lights, and the judgments they execute: and they lighten for a blessing or a curse, as the indwelling LORD of Spirits willeth.
2And there I saw the secrets of the thunder, and how when it resounds above in the heaven, the sound thereof is heard, and he caused me to see the judgements executed on the earth, whether they be for well-being and blessing, or for a curse according to the word of the Lord of Spirits.
And there I saw the secrets of the thunder — the resounding voice of the judgment — and how, when it resounds above in the inner realm, the sound thereof is heard; and he caused me to see the judgments executed on the outer life, whether they be for well-being and blessing, or for a curse, according to the word of the indwelling LORD of Spirits.
3And after that all the secrets of the lights and lightnings were shown to me, and they lighten for blessing and for satisfying.]
And after that all the secrets of the lights and lightnings were shown to me, and they lighten for blessing and for satisfying.]
