The Book of Enoch 92
How to read these pages: the text itself comes first, verse by verse, in the volume's own translation. Beneath each verse stands its Meaning — a rendering of what the passage's terms name in the inner life, drawn from the correspondences the text itself uses. The text is never altered; the meaning is offered, not imposed.
Charles translation (1917)
1The book written by Enoch--[Enoch indeed wrote this complete doctrine of wisdom, (which is) praised of all men and a judge of all the earth] for all my children who shall dwell on the earth. And for the future generations who shall observe uprightness and peace.
The book written by Enoch — the faculty that walks with God; Enoch indeed wrote this complete doctrine of wisdom, praised of all men and a judge of all the earth, the outer life — for all my children who shall dwell on the outer life, and for the future generations — the succeeding orders of states — who shall observe uprightness and peace, rest in right relation to the order.
2Let not your spirit be troubled on account of the times; For the Holy and Great One has appointed days for all things.
Let not your spirit be troubled on account of the times; for the Holy and Great One — the Source under His title of greatness — has appointed days, appointed cycles, for all things.
3And the righteous one shall arise from sleep, [Shall arise] and walk in the paths of righteousness, And all his path and conversation shall be in eternal goodness and grace.
And the righteous one shall arise from sleep, the hidden and unawakened state, shall arise and walk in the paths of righteousness, and all his path and conversation — his whole course of life — shall be in lasting goodness and grace, the unmerited inflow of divine life and favor.
4He will be gracious to the righteous and give him eternal uprightness, And He will give him power so that he shall be (endowed) with goodness and righteousness. And he shall walk in eternal light.
He will be gracious to the righteous and give him lasting uprightness, and He will give him power, so that he shall be endowed with goodness and righteousness. And he shall walk in lasting light — divine understanding that does not pass away.
5And sin shall perish in darkness for ever, And shall no more be seen from that day for evermore.
And sin — error apart from the divine order — shall perish in darkness, unilluminated consciousness, for a lasting age, and shall no more be seen from that day for evermore.
